Unforgettable Fishing Trips on a Private Yacht in Dubai

The Arabian Gulf's deep-sea fishing is underrated internationally and treasured locally. The waters 8–15 km off Dubai Marina hold barracuda, queenfish, kingfish, hammour (grouper), mackerel and — in winter — the occasional sailfish. Here's how to plan a serious fishing charter.

Best season

November to March — cool water temperatures drive queenfish and kingfish schools closer to shore. Summer fishing is still possible (dawn only, otherwise too hot) but less productive.

Best yacht for fishing

Sweet spot is 50–70 feet. The 35-footer is too bouncy for multi-hour drifts; the 100+ footers are overkill (and harder to maneuver in tight anchor spots). Our 50-foot and 70-foot yachts are purpose-equipped for fishing with rod holders, live bait wells and fish-finder sonar.

Typical day charter

  • 05:30 — meet at Dubai Marina, load supplies
  • 06:00 — depart, motor to fishing grounds (45 min at cruise speed)
  • 06:45–11:00 — fishing (drifting and trolling)
  • 11:00 — swim stop, lunch service
  • 12:00 — second fishing session (deeper water)
  • 14:30 — return cruise, fish cleaning on the way
  • 15:30 — back at Marina, fresh catch bagged

What's included

All tackle (rods, reels, lures, bait), ice, fish cleaning and filleting, cooler storage, sonar and GPS. Bring your own drinks and snacks if you want — we provide water and soft drinks.

Catch-and-release policy

We strictly observe UAE size limits: hammour minimum 45 cm, queenfish minimum 60 cm. Smaller fish are released. Sailfish and sharks are always released — we clip the tag before you pose for the photo.
